Patrick Bokwala is VHF’s Events Officer. Patrick has over 10 years management experience , leadership and customer service in large integrated retail management system. He holds a Masters degree in International Business and Management. Patrick has managed various projects assisting with planning, scheduling and oversight of various contracts and vendors. At various jobs in his career, Patrick worked very closely with customers and partners to help resolve critical issues. Subscribing to the belief that hard work brings success, he often serves as the leader or facilitator for continuous improvement. He presently manages a leading global discount supermarket chain, Aldi in Bowie Maryland where he also oversees the training, development and performance of employees. He has helped the store cut the turnover rate since assuming the store manager position.
Patrick’s international travel skills and resourcefulness, gives him a good understanding and awareness of global economic and political issue and realities, strong intercultural knowledge and adaptability in different regions of the world. He worked in France and Antananarivo, Madagascar as a PR specialist. Meeting with a diverse culture allowed Patrick to develop and be fluent in multiple languages and dialects such as French, English, Spanish, Lingala, Swahili.
Patrick lives in Lanham, Maryland and enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. In past time, he likes to exercise, watch and play basket, camping and fishing. Patrick’s brings a unique blend of professional experiences, education and background to Victoria House Foundation
